MICHIGAN COUNCIL ON ECONOMIC EDUCATION |
Empowering high school students with real-world financial planning skills, case study competitions, and $1,000 state champion cash prizes!
How the Competition Works: Participating teams receive a real-world case study one week prior to the competition. Students take on the role of a financial planning firm and present their recommendations to a expert panel of judges at the State Finals event.
The top 3 teams after the case study round advance to a fast-paced "Quiz Bowl" for the State Championship title. The winning team travels on an all-expense-paid trip to Temple University in Philadelphia, PA to represent Michigan in the National Personal Finance Challenge for additional cash prizes! Teams can prepare using the Quiz Bowl Preparation Guide.
Teachers may apply for 1-2 teams. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2027.
